Fluorotelomer alcohols
Fluorotelomer alcohols (FTOH) are mostly used as precursors for PFAS compounds such as perfluorinated carboxylic acids (PFCA). They are also used as raw material in different industrial applications due to their water and oil repellent characteristics. Exposure to FTOH’s has been linked to serious health effects in both humans as well as animals.
